Garrett Engineering and Robotics Society

Geared Up for Achievement

Within the top-ranked public school system in the U.S., Garrett County students are “gearing up” for success. To this end, the Garrett Engineering and Robotics Society (GEARS) fosters youth achievement in science, technology, engineering, and math education.

Operating out of a 6,000 square foot industrial space, the nonprofit helps kids solve problems—and build robots—with scientific thinking. GEARS has fostered a science revolution within Garrett County—and the achievement of over 50 state, national, and global robotics awards.
