 Adventure Sports Center:
The first phase of the Adventure Sports Center International on Marsh Mountain in McHenry is in full swing and promises to be the focal point for year-round adventure-based recreational activities, events, and programs -- a one-stop shopping complex for the adventuring enthusiast. The recirculating whitewater course opened on Memorial Day Weekend 2007, bringing both amateur and professional whitewater enthusiasts to the County. The course is open 6 days each week and averages 200 visitors each day. When completed, the Center will consist of a central village complex and over 500 acres of trails and recreational venues. Also included will be an Adventure Sports Center building, Whitewater Hall of Fame and Museum, Nordic ski course, indoor climbing tower, multi-purpose trails, orienteering course, fitness center and more. This is an exciting endeavor that has been in the works for the last 15 years. Come and watch it grow with our County.
 WISP Mountain Resort: Not just a ski resort with world-class slopes, WISP is now an all-season location. It features 32 ski slopes and trails, a black-diamond, super-pipe snowboard run, six tubing shoots, two terrain parks, and the new "mountain coaster," one of only four throughout the United States.
When the snow melts, there's an Outdoor Adventures area that includes a paintball facility, skateboard park, 18-hole professional golf course, and scenic chair lift rides. Like our County, WISP has a lot to offer.
