Want to read the latest bestseller, surf the Internet, join a book club, catch up on the latest news? If so, the Ruth Enlow Library of Garrett County is the place for you. With the main library located in Oakland, and branches located in Kitzmiller, Grantsville, Accident and Friendsville, the library and its resources are easily accessible to residents and visitors alike. Each branch is equipped with computers with Internet access for public use. A wide range of book clubs for ages birth through 18 regularly meet to read and discuss age-appropriate books. In addition, the vast local history and genealogy resources, including various family histories and microfilmed newspapers dating back to 1877, make it easy to dig up those long lost relatives. Unable to visit the library? Not a problem. The Library's online catalog makes it easy to search for, reserve or request a book via interlibrary loan. The Library also has a host of available online databases, and its friendly staff is always willing to help.
